- Stanford Cardiothoracic Surgical Skills and Education
- Stanford Institutes of Medicine Summer Research Program (SIMR) – The program is an eight-week program in which high school students from diverse backgrounds are invited to perform basic research with Stanford faculty, postdoctoral fellows, students and researchers on a medically-oriented project. The goals of the program include increasing interest in biological sciences and medicine in high school students, helping students to understand how scientific research is performed, and increasing diversity of students and researchers in the sciences.
- SIP Internship Program at UC Santa Cruz – Through SIP summer internships, students will grasp the relationships among research tasks, research projects, and broader research programs—not abstractly, but through practical experience working with research mentors and other team members engaged in research project design, the application of accepted methods and best practices, data collection and analysis, and effective communication of research findings.
- Branston Summer STEM Institute - BSSI will combine core courses, labs, research, special talks, and off-campus excursions into a summer experience designed to help participants engage with advanced topics, conduct original research, and gain insight into the forefront of biological science research and innovation. BSSI is designed from beginning to end to be a collaborative four-week program that emphasizes the social nature of research and sharing of knowledge across age groups. Students will form lifelong connections with talented peers; teaching assistants from respected universities; research mentors from UCSF, Stanford, and the California Academy of Sciences; and established scientists and professionals from across the Bay Area.
- Paytan Biochemistry Lab at UCSC- High school students spend 8-10 weeks (15-30 hours each week) in the summer working in different science laboratories. The students work on research projects and are supervised directly by graduate students or post docs. This program enables graduate students to serve as mentors, prepares high schools students for college and serves to strengthen the partnership between UCSC and local high schools.
- Research Summer Institute- With 80 spots and over 950 applicants, this summer research program is the most competitive in the U.S. 80 of the most talented young scientists from around the world gather at MIT for an intensive 8-week program where they work on their own research with the top scientists in the world.
- Stanford Mathematics Camp (SUMaC)- The Stanford Mathematics Camp brings together a strong community of mathematically talented students to challenge them in math.
